Strategy & buyer plan
We start with your intake and a 60-minute strategy session: budget, areas, priorities and compromises. You receive a personalised buyer plan and practical search tools.
Intake + 60-min session

Find and inspect homes yourself, without making every important decision alone. We build your strategy, review your shortlist, advise on your offer and stay with you through settlement. You keep control, with buyer-side advice beside you.

The seller has appointed the selling agent to represent their interests. When you buy alone, you have no buyer-side adviser in your corner.

02 How it works
You remain the buyer and the decision-maker. You contact the selling agent, submit offers and negotiate. We help you move from uncertainty to a considered next step.

Each week, get a written desktop review of a nominated property: price guidance, sold comparables, fit, risks and questions to check. View a real sample review below.
One written review per week
Message Taylor privately whenever questions arise. We respond within one business day. The members’ Deal Room has two scheduled Q&A windows each week.
Direct access + community
After your offer is accepted, we provide advisory support through settlement: clarity on the sequence and dates, which professional to contact, and optional introductions.
Support after the yes
Searching, inspections, bidding and negotiation by Davies require a separate Property Pursuit or Full Service engagement. Taylor advises on evidence, offer approach, conditions and next steps. The client contacts the selling agent, submits offers and negotiates.
03 Your weekly property review
Each week, get our professional perspective on a nominated property. Pricing and comparable-sales analysis, potential risks and how it fits your brief, with clear questions and checks before your next step.
Before you commit, ask yourself
What risks are involved?
What am I missing?
Could I be paying too much?
What should I check before I commit?
A great inspection does not tell the whole story. Understand the price, potential red flags and what still needs checking.

How it matches your buy box, what works and where you would be compromising.
An indicative price range, relevant sold comparables and the reasoning behind it.
Location context, amenity and street-level considerations relevant to your needs.
Available planning and hazard information, with sources and checks still required.
Concerns apparent from the information reviewed and what cannot yet be confirmed.
Questions for the agent and checks to arrange with your solicitor or other specialists.
Desktop guidance only. No physical inspection, formal valuation or complete due diligence. Specialist checks remain separate.
04 You have someone to ask

These two properties are so different. How should I compare them?
Start with your three non-negotiables. Then compare the compromises and ongoing costs.
That helps. Could you review the one that fits my brief best?

Two group Q&A sessions each week
Your membership connects you with other DIY Buy buyers in a members-only community. Bring your questions to two weekly group Q&A sessions, learn from the decisions others are working through and take those insights into your own search.
You benefit from more than the questions you think to ask.
Included in your DIY Buy membership
Keep property details and personal information in private chat. Calls can be arranged when useful; there is no standing weekly call.
05 After your offer is accepted
An accepted offer is a milestone, not the finish line. We help you understand the next steps and stay connected through the run-up to settlement.
Next-step clarity
Know the sequence and key dates after acceptance, and which appointed professional to contact at each stage.
Professional introductions
Optional contacts for legal, building and pest, and finance support. You choose the professionals you engage.
Through to settlement
Advisory support continues through settlement. We do not give legal, finance, building or pest advice, or manage the contract for you.
DIY Buy advisory support through settlement means clarity on the sequence and dates, and which appointed professional to contact. Specialist advice remains with the relevant professional.
06 Price and payment
One total fee. Two ways to pay. The total is identical either way.

What your engagement includes
If you upgrade to Full Service, your DIY Buy payments already made are credited toward the Full Service engagement fee, capped at that engagement fee. DIY billing stops when Full Service begins. No cash refund for any excess.
DIY Buy is advisory only. You handle searching, inspections, selling-agent contact, offers and negotiation. Reviews are desktop guidance, not formal valuations or complete due diligence. Searching, inspections, bidding and negotiation by Davies require a separate Property Pursuit or Full Service engagement.
07 The continuation guarantee
An active buyer who has not purchased can continue the same capped DIY Buy advisory support at no additional service fee while their brief and funding capacity remain materially viable and unchanged.
This guarantees continued eligible support, not a purchase or a saving.
